RAPIDES PARISH, LA — The community of Marksville and Rapides Parish is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of Latrice Robinson, 44, who was killed in a devastating head-on crash on Louisiana Highway 1 on the morning of Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Latrice’s life was tragically cut short when the vehicle she was driving collided with another car near Tyler Road at approximately 10:48 a.m., according to Louisiana State Police.
Latrice was driving a 2015 Ford Focus southbound on Highway 1 when, while attempting to pass multiple vehicles, her vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound 2016 Infiniti QX8. The force of the crash caused significant damage to both vehicles. Despite wearing her seatbelt, Latrice sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a passenger in the Infiniti were also restrained and sustained moderate injuries; they were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and their current conditions have not been released.
