Hosie Thomas Arrested; Caddo Parish security officer arrested for simple battery of 17-year-old Northwood High student
A security officer at Northwood High School in Caddo Parish has been arrested for simple battery against a student, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.
Hosie Thomas, 46, of Shreveport, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center after an investigation conducted by Detective Roosevelt Tadlock. Thomas’s bond was set at $200 for the simple battery charge.
On February 26, just before 10:30 AM, a 17-year-old female juvenile was creating a disturbance when Hosie Thomas arrived at the building and attempted to escort her to the Principal’s Office. As Thomas walked behind the young girl, he drew closer, and she turned to face him. Without cause, Hosie grabbed the female and wrestled her to the ground. Once both individuals were on the ground, Thomas attempted to subdue her. During his attempt to control her on the ground, he placed his right forearm across the Juvenile’s neck, pinning her to the ground. The SRO, Deputy Nunnery from CPSO, arrived and took control of the situation; both parties declined medical attention.
