It’s with a heavy heart i write the fireworks community lost Rodney Gustafson yesterday. Deepest sympathy to his wife Lori and all his family and friends. It’s crazy Don and I had brought up fireworks several times this weekend and I was very uneasy about it. God’s speed our friend, Rod’s Fireworks – Clear Lake, SD said via facebook post.

Tragedy struck close to home today. We lost our beloved friend Rodney Gustafson. This man was the perfect example of “don’t judge a book by It’s cover.”

I had only met Rodney last year, but we were definitely kindred spirits! We laughed at how we were the same person in different bodies. We shared so many interests, ideas, and related on a level like no other. I never knew it was possible to build a meaningful friendship in such short time.

Earlier this winter, I had the pleasure of meeting some of his family. His wife, Lori Gustafson, is just as awesome as he was. Such amazing people.
