REPORT; Jacksboro PD took a report of a stolen F550 taken from JR’s with two family pets inside of the pick up

On 3/2/25 at about 6:19 PM Jacksboro PD took a report of a stolen F550 taken from JR’s with two family pets inside of the pick up.

At about 6:30 PM we received a call about a property we have had under surveillance in the South East side of the county They described two suspicious vehicles at the property we have been watching. One of the vehicles matched the description of the stolen pickup from Jacksboro. Deputies were dispatched to the area and began looking for the vehicle.

Deputy Veld located the vehicle pulling a camper being folllowed by a tag vehicle. Deputy Veld attempted to make a stop on it. They refused to pull over and started to run. During the pursuit, the pick up lost control and the camper turned over on its side and became unhooked from the pick coming to rest across the highway. The pick up continued on with Deputy Veld in pursuit still.

The pick up lost control again and ran through a fence into a pasture. Deputy Veld could not continue due to terrain conditions. A search of the area with the help of Parker County and Wise County was conducted but the suspects were not located. The investigation continues and we feel we have very solid leads to find the occupants.

A Wise County Deputy that was listening heard the vehicle description of the tag vehicle and saw a vehicle matching that description in the area.

The Deputy made a stop on the vehicle which was occupied by a known female. The Female was also in possession of the 2 family pets that were in the stole pickup up. The female was arrested and the family was reunited with their pets.

A great job of team work with Jacksboro PD, Jack County SO, Wise County SO, Parker County SO, and Weatherford PD.
