Missing Ulysses Hardy Anderson Found Dead; Missing Selma man’s body recovered from Alabama River
After being missing in early February, family and police enforcement have finally found the Selma man they were searching for.
Investigators verified on Friday that Ulysses Hardy Anderson’s body was found in the Alabama River by a group of fisherman. His remains were discovered in the rural village of Minter, close to a house off Dallas County Road 407.
According to family, Anderson was last seen visiting friends and family on Dallas County Road 17 in Selma on February 8. He went for a walk and never came back, they said.
Whether foul play is suspected or not is unclear. To ascertain Anderson’s cause of death, his body was taken to the Alabama State Forensics Lab in Montgomery for an autopsy.
A balloon release will be held in his memory on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Elbethel Missionary Baptist Church in Valley Grande.
