Man killed in shooting on Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte on Sunday morning

On Charlotte’s Wilkinson Boulevard, a man was shot and died.

Detectives from the CMPD’s Homicide Unit are looking into a homicide that occurred in the 4800 block of Wilkinson Boulevard, per a news release from the department.

On March 2, at around two in the morning, CMPD officers were called to the scene of a deadly weapon assault.

According to the police, the victim was shot after getting into a fight with armed guards. The victim was located by officers and taken to Atrium Main, where he died.
