Justin Warren Death; Slidell Man Arrested after Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash that Killed Pedestrian in St. Tammany Parish
Following a fatal hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian in St. Tammany Parish, a Slidell man was arrested.
Slidell — Louisiana State Police Troop L troopers started looking into a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on LA 433 close to Liberty Oaks Lane in St. Tammany Parish just after five in the morning on March 1, 2025. Justin Warren, 28, of Clearwater, Florida, died in the collision.
Troopers discovered during the initial investigation that Warren was hit by a gold-colored full-sized Ford pickup vehicle that ran away from the site based on witness testimony and on-scene evidence. The car was later determined to be a 2012 Ford F-150 registered to 45-year-old Tyrone Williams of Slidell with help from the Louisiana State Police Fusion Center and the Saint Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation indicates that Williams was driving westbound on LA 433. For reasons still under investigation, the right front bumper of the Ford struck Warren, who was in the westbound lane. Williams fled the scene after the collision. Warren was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to injuries received in the crash. Restraint use and impairment on the part of Williams are unknown at this time, and toxicology samples were taken and submitted for analysis. Williams was arrested at his residence and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail. He was charged with Negligent Homicide, Hit and Run, and Driving on the Right Side of the Roadway. This is an ongoing investigation.
Louisiana State Troopers wish to remind motorists of the importance of making good decisions while in motor vehicles. Follow all traffic laws, and never drive while impaired or distracted.
