Dereona Murrell Obituary, Death; In Loving Memory of Dereona Murrell

We regret to inform you that Dereona Murrell, a bright and accomplished 9th grader at WCHS, has died. Dereona made a difference in many people’s lives and will be greatly missed by her friends, family, and the entire school community across the county.

In light of this devastating loss, we’ve decided to shift the focus of our fundraiser. Originally meant to support housing requirements, we will now use all money to meet Dereona’s final expenses.

We appreciate that this news is distressing for many of our kids, and we want to remind them that there is help available. Our school counselors are here to offer emotional support and assistance during this difficult time. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need someone to talk to.
