Dave Frankel Death; Fmr. Action News weathercaster and reporter Dave Frankel dies at 67.

One of the most well-known members of the Action News family from the middle of the 1980s to the late 1990s, Dave Frankel, passed away. He was sixty-seven.

He began working here as an investigative journalist and told fantastic stories with a distinct voice and inventiveness.

Dave was transferred from the investigative section to the AccuWeather map in 1989 by fate.

He shared his intelligence, humor, and kind nature with all of you over the course of the following eight years.

Dave also became our first tech correspondent in 1996, which at the time entailed elucidating novel and intricate ideas like email.

Dave started a second career in law after leaving television, specializing in helping families with special needs children.

Dave died Wednesday morning after a long battle with a form of dementia called primary progressive aphasia.

His wife Marjie, and children Bailey, Scott and Charlie are also dear friends to so many people here, and we send them our love and condolences.
