Charles Young IV Arrested; Chesterfield County Man Fatally Shot In Prince George County

Police Make a Homicide Arrest

Prince George County Police responded to a shooting at the 5000 block of Owens Way on February 27, 2025, at 12:19 a.m. Officers discovered a male adult with a gunshot wound when they arrived. The 26-year-old Chesterfield man, identified as D’Mond Taylor, was taken to Southside Medical Center and declared dead.

Just before six in the morning, Prince George County detectives were able to identify, track down, and apprehend the suspect. Charles Young IV, a 24-year-old Petersburg, Virginia resident, is the person who was arrested. Young is accused of using a firearm to commit a felony and second-degree murder. Chesterfield County Jail is where he is being kept at the moment.
