Caleb Martinez Arrested; Ben Hill County authorities arrest sex offender for kidnapping and rape

Registered Sexual Offender Arrested

On February 27, 2025, at 19:05 hours, the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an incident that occurred on Burton Road. The offender was identified as 28-year-old Modesto Caleb Martinez, a Registered Sexual Offender. On February 27, 2025, at 20:16 hours, members of the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division, Patrol Unit, Sexual Offender Registry Unit, and the Department of Community Supervision located and arrested Martinez at his residence on Burton Road.

Martinez is charged with the following:

OCGA: 16-5-23.1; Misdemeanor, Battery

OCGA: 16-5-40; Felony, Kidnapping

OCGA: 16-5-41; Felony, False Imprisonment

OCGA: 16-6-1; Felony, Rape

Probation Violation

In 2015 Martinez plead guilty to Aggravated Child Molestation and Sexual Battery Against a Child Under 16, he was released from prison in 2022.

Martinez went before the Ben Hill County Chief Magistrate on February 28, 2025. His bond was denied.
