Kyle Jones Death; Teen killed, another airlifted to hospital after NKY crash; victim identified
An 18-year-old man was killed and another person was injured in a two-vehicle collision on KY Highway 1039 on Saturday.
Kentucky State Police Post 5 reported that the crash occurred near the intersection with Knox Lillard Road at approximately 8:18 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Chrysler minivan, driven by Kyle Jones, 18, of Ghent, was traveling north when it crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided with a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe heading south.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, and his next of kin have been notified. The 20-year-old driver of the Chevrolet was airlifted to a hospital due to his injuries.
