On the night of Monday, February 2, 2026, around 10:00 p.m., St. Paul police responded to multiple reports of gunfire on the 100 block of Oneida Street, a quiet stretch in a community known for its spirit and resilience. When officers arrived, they found David, just 24 years old, inside a vehicle — suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Despite heroic life-saving measures by first responders, David was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The news of this senseless loss spread quickly, leaving so many stunned and searching for answers. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office is completing the necessary steps to formally identify the victim and determine the cause and manner of death as part of the ongoing process. 

At the time of this writing, no arrests have been made, and the circumstances behind the shooting remain under active investigation by law enforcement authorities. Police continue to canvass the area, reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with potential witnesses in hopes of understanding what led to this devastating moment.
