The incident likely occurred before 8 p.m. at the Sunset Plaza Apartments.

Multiple emergency vehicles were on the scene when our cameras arrived, including Jackson Police and AMR.

On Thursday, the Jackson Police Department identified the victim as 21-year-old Jakendrick Bass.

A suspect has not been identified or arrested at this time.
