In Loving Memory of Larry Myers
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we remember the life of Larry Myers, an 80-year-old man whose life was tragically taken in a three-vehicle collision on Tuesday afternoon along Danville Road in Boyle County, Kentucky. Larry’s passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
According to Kentucky State Police, the tragic incident occurred when a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado attempted to pass a slowing 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe that was preparing to make a left turn onto Goggin Lane. In the process, the Silverado crossed the center line, striking the Tahoe and then colliding with a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Larry Myers, who was traveling west on Danville Road. The impact was devastating, and Larry sustained fatal injuries, being pronounced deceased at the scene by the Boyle County coroner. The other drivers involved were transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Beyond the tragic circumstances of his passing, Larry Myers was a man who carried with him decades of memories, experiences, wisdom, and kindness. At 80 years old, he represented a lifetime of stories—of family gatherings, quiet moments, laughter, hard work, and perseverance. He had witnessed generations grow, communities change, and the world evolve, yet remained a steady presence for those around him.
Larry was more than just a name in a report or a statistic in an investigation. He was a father, grandfather, relative, friend, neighbor, and community member whose life mattered deeply. Those who knew him remember a man with a warm heart, a gentle spirit, and a quiet strength that came from years of experience and love for those around him. Whether through simple conversations, shared meals, or moments of guidance, Larry touched lives in ways that words cannot fully express.
His sudden passing is a reminder of how fragile life can be and how important it is to cherish every moment with those we love. The shock and pain felt by his loved ones and the Boyle County community are immeasurable, and the loss of such a life leaves a silence that cannot be easily filled.
As investigations continue into the circumstances of the collision, the focus remains on honoring Larry’s memory and supporting those he leaves behind. In times like these, communities come together, offering prayers, comfort, and compassion to grieving families.
May Larry Myers be remembered for the life he lived, the love he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him, in the stories told about him, and in the quiet moments where he is lovingly remembered.
Rest in peace, Larry Myers. Your life mattered, your presence was valued, and your memory will never be forgotten.
