At approximately 7:45 a.m., Moore County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on Daphne Lane in Vass. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Kateryna and Matthew deceased inside the home. The swift response and ongoing investigation by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, led to the arrest of Caleb Fosnaugh later that day in Ohio. Authorities have confirmed that Fosnaugh and Kateryna Tovmash had previously been in a relationship in Ohio.
Kateryna Tovmash was a young woman full of promise, whose life in the Woodlake community was marked by connections, friendships, and the love of those around her.
