In Loving Memory of Hunter Ray (1999–2026)

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we remember and honor the life of Hunter Ray, a beloved son, friend, coworker, and cherished member of the Pineville and Ouachita Parish community. At just 26 years old, Hunter’s life was tragically cut short in a work-related accident that has left countless hearts broken and a community in mourning.

According to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Hunter was working with a tree removal crew when a tree unexpectedly fell in an unintended direction, striking him in the backyard of a home on Elmwood Drive. Despite the efforts of authorities and emergency responders, the accident claimed his life, leaving behind an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. The investigation is ongoing, but the grief and shock of this loss are already deeply felt.

Hunter was known for his hardworking spirit, his dedication to his craft, and the pride he took in providing for himself and those he cared about. Working in tree removal is not an easy job—it requires courage, skill, and a willingness to face risks to keep communities safe. Hunter approached his work with determination and responsibility, always ready to lend a hand and do what needed to be done. His commitment reflected the kind of man he was: dependable, strong, and selfless.

Beyond his work, Hunter was remembered for his kind heart, warm personality, and the way he could light up a room with his presence. He had a way of making people feel comfortable, whether through a simple conversation, a shared laugh, or a helping hand when someone needed it most. Friends and family recall his sense of humor, his loyalty, and the genuine care he showed for others. He was someone you could count on, someone who made life a little brighter just by being in it.

To his family, Hunter was more than just a son or relative—he was a source of love, pride, and joy. He carried with him the values of hard work, respect, and compassion that shaped the person he became. His passing is a heartbreaking reminder of how fragile life can be, and how important it is to cherish every moment with those we love.

The loss of Hunter Ray is not just a personal tragedy for his loved ones, but a loss for the entire community. Young, full of potential, and with so much life ahead of him, his journey ended far too soon. Yet, the impact he made during his 26 years will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew him and in the stories that will be told about his kindness, his work ethic, and his spirit.

As we remember Hunter, we also honor the bravery and dedication of workers who put their lives on the line every day in physically demanding and dangerous professions. His passing serves as a solemn reminder of the risks they face and the importance of safety, awareness, and support for those in such fields.

Rest in peace, Hunter Ray. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Your life mattered, your presence mattered, and your memory will forever live on in the hearts of your family, friends, coworkers, and community.

Gone too soon, but remembered forever.
