With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we remember and honor the life of Dylan Sanphy, a beloved 26-year-old from Gorham, Maine, whose life was tragically taken in a devastating motor vehicle collision on February 10, 2026. Dylan’s passing has left an indescribable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. On that Tuesday afternoon, at approximately 3:40 p.m., deputies from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, along with Poland Fire-Rescue and other emergency responders, rushed to the scene of a reported head-on collision on Plains Road in Poland. Preliminary investigations revealed that Dylan was driving a gray 2016 Jeep Cherokee eastbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle. In the process, his Jeep collided head-on with a westbound silver 2016 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Edward Morris of Mechanic Falls. The impact was severe, leaving both vehicles with catastrophic front-end damage. Tragically, Dylan was pronounced deceased at the scene, while two adult female passengers in his vehicle were seriously injured and transported to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment.

As authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the involvement of a Subaru that did not remain at the scene, loved ones are left to grapple with grief, disbelief, and the painful reality of losing someone so young and full of potential.
