In Loving Memory of Carson Dilleree
The Freeport and Bay City communities are mourning the tragic loss of Carson Dilleree, a 20-year-old Bay City resident, who passed away Friday morning following a devastating two-vehicle crash in front of Port Freeport. The incident, which occurred around 6:40 a.m. in the 1000 block of FM 1495, has left family, friends, and neighbors heartbroken over the sudden loss of a young life full of promise.
According to Freeport Police Lt. Craig Graham, the accident involved a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Carson and a gray 2018 Hyundai Sonata. Preliminary investigations determined that the Sonata pulled into the path of Carson’s motorcycle while attempting a left turn, leading to the collision. Both drivers were transported by ambulance to St. Luke’s Health-Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson. Tragically, despite emergency care, Carson succumbed to his injuries. The Hyundai driver, a 19-year-old Freeport man, was cited for failure to yield the right of way while turning left.
