In Loving Memory of Amanda Patt
It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of Amanda Patt, a 34-year-old woman whose life was cut short in a devastating motor vehicle accident on the morning of February 11, 2026. The crash occurred just before 7 a.m. on West Stage Coach Trail outside of Shelby, Cleveland County, involving two pickup trucks on a 55-mph stretch of road.
Amanda was driving her F-150 when, for reasons still under investigation, her vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Dodge 1500 driven by a Burns High School student. While the teenager survived the crash, thanks in part to the protection offered by his seatbelt, Amanda tragically succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Neither vehicle had additional passengers, and preliminary reports indicate that speed did not appear to be a factor in the accident.
Amanda Patt was more than her years; she was a cherished daughter, a devoted friend, and a valued member of her community. Those who knew Amanda remember her warmth, her compassion, and her unwavering kindness. Her presence brightened every room she entered, and her laughter, generosity, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Her loss is deeply felt by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. In moments like this, the magnitude of grief is immeasurable, yet it is tempered by the love and memories Amanda leaves behind. From her thoughtful gestures to her contagious smile, Amanda’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
The Cleveland County community mourns with Amanda’s family during this unimaginable time. Her life, though tragically brief, serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with the people we hold dear. Her courage, kindness, and the joy she shared with those around her will not be forgotten.
As we remember Amanda Patt, we honor her memory with love, gratitude, and respect. She will be deeply missed, but her light and the positive impact she made will endure forever, a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
