In Loving Memory of Adam Cornelison, Mackenzie Lawrence, and Brooklyn Stanley
WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Wayne Township community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Adam Cornelison, Mackenzie Lawrence, and Brooklyn Stanley, whose lives were tragically cut short in a two-vehicle crash on February 14, 2026. The devastating accident occurred around 3:08 p.m. on State Route 60, leaving friends, family, and the community in profound sorrow.
According to authorities, 18-year-old Adam Cornelison of Duncan Falls was operating a 2010 Mercury Milan southbound on SR 60 when the vehicle traveled left of center, colliding with a 2025 Honda CR-V traveling northbound. The Honda CR-V was driven by 53-year-old Bradley Stanley of Newark, with two passengers, Mackenzie Lawrence, 29, and Brooklyn Stanley, 22, also of Newark. Adam Cornelison was pronounced deceased at the scene. Tragically, Mackenzie Lawrence and Brooklyn Stanley were transported to Genesis Hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. It was reported that Adam Cornelison was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders from Harrison Township Fire and EMS, Genesis Community Ambulance, Zanesville Fire and EMS, Duncan Falls Fire, the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio Department of Transportation were on the scene assisting with the tragic incident. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
